Patients on 11L or 12L:  Duration of hospitalization.  All others: Enteric Contact + Standard isolation can be discontinued if (1) patient has had no diarrhea for ≥48 hours AND (2) clean patient and belongings have been transferred to clean room.

Hand Hygiene with soap and water (not alcohol based hand rub) is indicated upon exiting the room of a patient on Contact + Standard Isolation for C. difficile. Wash your hands sign is available.
