Skin Integrity Issues with New Hand Hygiene Products

Managers who receive staff reports of skin issues resulting from hand hygiene practice should use the attached checklist and guidelines to help address hand skin integrity issues. This document may be used for two purposes:

  1. To educate healthcare workers about the proper way to clean hands and preserve hand skin integrity.
  2. For managers to evaluate staff adherence to hand skin integrity strategies when a healthcare worker reports breakdown in hand skin integrity.

If you have any questions, please contact HEIC or Occupational Health Services (885-7580).
